2010 in Pictures

As I looked through my albums, I realized that my most memorable experiences of the year were often encapsulated perfectly with a picture. Instead of a written recap, I thought I'd share a visual one. Here are some of my boldest memories of 2010.

Reality Check

"You carry it well." I can't tell you how often I've heard those words since Friday. Almost unanimously, that's been the response when I've showed someone my DXA Scan results. I've decided it must be like hearing, "You have a great personality," when asked if that outfit looks good on you. They mean well. What they don't want to say is, "Holy Cow! How in the world are you walking around with 35% bodyfat? That seems really high."

My Year-End Challenge: 16 lbs. & 28 days

Last Friday, my autographed advance copy of The 4 Hour Body arrived in my PO Box. I can't put into words how excited I was to start flipping the pages (after I wrestled it away from my husband). If you're a nerd and a jock, it's pretty heavenly - and it tipped the scales on a project I was considering. For the last few weeks, I'd been contemplating using these last few weeks of the year to strive for some specific fitness goals I'd set at the beginning of the year. My work schedule is going to keep us at home, and travel-free periods are usually a good time for me to focus on my eating and workouts. So, I'm going all-in for four weeks. The goal: Drop 16 pounds in 28 days.
