Yesterday, Holly Hoffman and I released a special report about the State of Social Media in Corpus Christi. We stumbled across some data we’d gathered last November in preparation for a conference and decided to check updated numbers out of curiosity. To say we were stunned would be an understatement. So, we decided to add some information from local leaders and local business case studies and put together a more formal report.

It features current statistics about popular social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and MySpace.
We also included demographic information about each platform and six-month growth information.
Overall, we’re excited to report that technologically, Corpus Christi is a city moving forward. For example, 41% of our adult population (representing over 122,000 users) is using Facebook, very near the national average of 46%.
