Daily. There’s something about that word.
It’s powerful, intimidating almost. Yet it’s comfortable too, stable.
Somehow, I find myself both embracing it and rejecting it.
People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.

Motivation. Fitness. Faith. Nutrition.
They’re all best served: daily.
When I started my journey to better health in 2009, I naively thought I could lose the weight and then go back to eating the foods I craved. I’ve done the same with my faith, stocking up on my studying and prayer time, and then letting it slide for a few days or weeks.
Somewhere deep inside, I obviously knew this wasn’t the right approach. But these were still the conversations I had with myself.
Sacrifice for a little while, get results, and then move on.
And then it clicked. Whatever I’m seeking, I have to embrace the daily habit that achieves it.
I have to look forward to each step in the journey as much as the destination.
This new mindset has two benefits. One, I’m actually beginning to experience sustainable lifestyle change. And two, I’m learning to enjoy what each day brings instead of always looking forward to a better future.
It takes practice. You guessed it . . . daily.

You go through the motions every day and take pleasure in knowing that you’re changing yourself each time you do.
